Upload and enhance images

Step-by-step: upload and start enhancing

  1. Open the app
Go to the web app: app.autoenhance.ai. You can sign in to upload images within your own account, but you can also upload images without an account to give Autoenhance.ai a try.

  2. Go to Upload
In the left navigation, click Upload to open the upload workspace. Or click this link to go here directly: app.autoenhance.ai/upload

  3. Add your files

Import from ‘My Device’, Dropbox or Drag & drop files or folders into the drop zone. You'll see thumbnails queued with file names and basic info.

Dropbox integration: in the upload workspace, connect your Dropbox account and browse your files without downloading them to your computer first.

  4. Select a grouping mode

    • Automatic grouping: Autoenhance detects and groups matching brackets automatically. Recommended for most workflows.

    • Single brackets: processes each file as an individual image, no merging.

    • Group every X brackets: groups files in fixed sets of 2 to 10 brackets. Use this when you want to give the AI a consistent bracket count to work with, for more predictable results across your order.

  5. Name the order
Give your order a name (often the address of the property). This name appears in your orders list for a better overview. You can rename later if needed.

  6. Set enhancement settings (see next section)
Choose settings to guide the AI.

  7. Upload images (see what happens after)
Click Upload images. Keep the page open until the upload completes. Once your files are uploaded, enhancement starts automatically and you will begin to see small thumbnails appear marked as 'Processing', one for each expected image in your order. This confirms your files are being processed correctly. At that point, you can close the tab and come back later to check if your order is ready.

You can upload multiple orders at the same time by opening a new browser tab and starting a new upload while the previous one is in progress.

Enhancement settings

AI version

Autoenhance.ai uses fixed versions so you can lock in a version that suits your workflow.

Two versions are available: Latest (most recent release), Stable (fixed, consistent). For guidance on which to choose, see Recommendations for Best Results.

Enhancement style

Each AI version comes with its own set of enhancement styles. An enhancement style is trained on a different dataset to cater to different needs. Neutral will always be the most common look.

Sky replacement

Replace grey skies with natural blue skies. Automatically add sky replacements and choose Clear, Low Cloud, Neutral or High Cloud depending on the look you're going for. Choose Off to keep the original sky.

If you see inconsistencies in Sky Replacement with an exterior HDR image, we suggest trying with Single Brackets, according to our Recommendations for Best Results.

Perspective correction

Perfectly straighten your images for a balanced, representative view. Both internals and externals will appear naturally aligned and professionally edited.

Auto privacy

Auto privacy sensitive content like license plates automatically. It only blurs the area of the object to be less obtrusive.

Window pulls

Reveals outdoor detail through bright windows. Autoenhance.ai AI V5 and higher.

A "Windows with Skies" option is also available. When selected, the sky replacement is also applied through your windows, so if you select High Cloud in sky replacement, the same sky will appear through the windows as well.

Lens correction

If you upload images that include meta-data, Autoenhance.ai will automatically apply lens correction. Contact us if this doesn't happen so we can make sure to add your specific camera and lens to our database.

Do not pre-apply lens correction before uploading. If it is applied twice, it can cause distortion artifacts.

Additional options are available to adjust specific elements in your images:

TV Blackout

Turns television screens black.

Fire in Fireplace

Adds a realistic fire effect to fireplaces.

Photographer Removal

Removes the photographer or camera reflection from mirrors and glossy surfaces.

Grass Green

Enhances grass in outdoor scenes for a more vibrant look.

Tip: If you want to use specific AI settings for all your upcoming orders, click Save as default after changing the settings.

What happens after you click “Upload images”

  • HDR orders: brackets are grouped and merged automatically before enhancement. Depending on order size and bracket count, grouping can take ~10 seconds to 3 minutes. During this time you may not see thumbnails yet, this is expected.

  • Enhancement: once grouping is complete, each image is processed individually by the AI. Typical time is 2–5 minutes per image depending on factors such as file size, brackets and AI Version. As each image finishes, its thumbnail will update now processed in your order, ready for review.

If 5 minutes have passed since uploading and no thumbnails have appeared at all, contact our support team so we can look into what happened. To avoid losing time, go ahead and create a new order in the meantime.

Reviewing images

The app shows enhanced images as soon as they’re ready. Images still being enhanced are marked as ‘Processing’. You can start reviewing quality right away while the rest of the images are being processed. Learn more about reviewing.

FAQs about uploading

Do I need an account to upload?
No, you can try for free and preview the results without an account. Full-resolution downloads require an active plan.

Will HDR brackets be merged automatically?
Yes, Autoenhance groups brackets by visual analysis automatically.

How long does processing take?
After grouping, typical enhancement time is 2–5 minutes per image depending on factors such as file size, brackets and AI Version.

Are my images processed one by one or all at once?
Images within an order are processed in parallel, so your full order moves forward at the same time rather than sequentially. You can also create multiple orders across different browser tabs and they will all process in parallel simultaneously.
