Are you looking to streamline your workflow by automatically uploading images from Autoenhance.ai to Dropbox? With Zapier, you can set up an automated process (called a Zap) that will handle this task for you. Important note: mind that this Zap is currently a premium zap, which involves a Zapier subscription.

Follow this step-by-step guide to get everything set up.

Step 1: Sign Up for Zapier and Dropbox

Before you can create your Zap, you'll need accounts with both Zapier and Dropbox. If you don't have these accounts, you can sign up here:

Step 2: Create a New Zap

  1. Log in to Zapier: Go to Zapier and log in to your account.

  2. Create the Zap: Use this Zap template for the integration.

Step 3: Set Up the Webhooks

The trigger is the event that starts your Zap. In this case, it's an image enhanced with Autoenhance.ai.

  1. Copy Webhook URL:

    • Click 'Catch Hook in Webhooks by Zapier'.

    • Copy the Webhook URL that has been generated by Zapier.

  2. Connect With Autoenhance.ai:

    • Go to the Autoenhance.ai app and visit the API page. Paste the copied webhook URL to the field saying 'Webhook URL' and click 'Update settings'.

  3. Test the Trigger:

    • In Zapier you can test the trigger to ensure it’s working correctly. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this test. You might need to enhance an image first, before Zapier will show records from the webhook.

Step 4: Upload File to Dropbox

The action is what happens after the trigger event occurs. In this case, it will be uploading the image to Dropbox.

  1. Click 'Upload File in Dropbox'

    • Set the event to 'Upload file'

    • If you haven't already, you'll be prompted to connect your Dropbox account to Zapier. Follow the instructions to authorize Zapier to access your Dropbox.

  2. Set Up the Action:

    • Folder: Choose the Dropbox folder where you want the images to be uploaded.

    • File: Enter the image file from your app trigger data. You have several options to add here:

Preview enhancement: this downloads a preview of the enhancement, which is the same preview you see in the web app before downloading the image. Triggering the preview does not charge your credits. Add the following link:

      https://api.autoenhance.ai/v3/images/{image_id}/preview

Web optimized enhancement: this downloads a web optimized version of the enhancement. Important note: triggering the web optimized enhancement does charge your credits. Add the following link:

      https://api.autoenhance.ai/v3/images/{image_id}/enhanced?size=small

Full resolution enhancement: this downloads the full resolution of the enhancement. Important note: triggering the full resolution enhancement does charge your credits. Add the following link:

      https://api.autoenhance.ai/v3/images/{image_id}/enhanced

    • Add the Image ID: Select the following part of the link you added: {image_id} and you will see options to insert data. Click Image Id so this Zap will automatically download the right image when it's triggered

  3. Test the Action:

    • Zapier will ask you to test the action to ensure it’s working correctly. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this test.

    • Enhance a new image in the Autoenhance.ai web app to test the trigger. You should see a new file with the enhanced image being uploaded to Dropbox.

Step 5: Turn on Your Zap

Once your Zap is set up and tested, all that’s left is to turn it on.

  1. Review Your Zap:

    • Double-check all your settings to make sure everything is configured correctly.

  2. Turn On Your Zap:

    • Click the toggle switch to turn on your Zap.

Step 6: Monitor and Manage Your Zap

After your Zap is active, it will run automatically in the background. You can monitor and manage your Zap from the Zapier dashboard.

  • View Zap History: Check the task history to see the status of each image upload.

  • Edit Zap: If you need to make changes, you can edit your Zap at any time.

  • Turn Off Zap: If you need to stop the automation, you can turn off your Zap from the dashboard.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Authentication Issues: Ensure that both your app and Dropbox accounts are properly connected to Zapier.

  • File Size Limits: Be aware of any file size limits set by Zapier or Dropbox.

  • Error Messages: If a Zap fails, check the detailed error message in the task history for troubleshooting steps.

Conclusion

By following these steps, you can automate the process of uploading images from your app to Dropbox, saving you time and reducing manual work. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team.

Happy automating!
